  Semester  B :  Week 31 Student:  Tai Ser Yeet (22064351) Programme:  BA (Hons)(SW) Digital Media Design WEEK 32 11/5/26 Today, Phil helped me attach the Kinect and the other projector to the ceiling rail. Melvin also moved the computer from the left side of the room to the other corner because the cable for the Kinect was too short, and we did not have an extension cable long enough to connect it to the computer. Phil also installed a lever mechanism that allowed for a full rotation of the Kinect's position. This contraption was extremely helpful as it gave me more freedom to play around with its position so that it could properly detect the player's movement. 12/5/26 Feedback from Mafalda Mafalda helped me with setting up NVIDIA Mosaic for the Degree Show. As the digital landscape evolves with social media being the main medium of communication, a prevalent shift where dancers prioritise looking good for social media has triumphed over deep introspection. This screen-obsessive culture, reinforced by mobile phone addiction and a dependency on online validation, often leads to emotional detachment. To eliminate the playback lag experienced on the high-spec i9 hardware, I am optimising the video resolution by moving from 4K down to 1080p. Amidst my quest for inspiration, I found an artist on Instagram who mainly does work on Touch Designer and has done large-scale exhibitions to showcase her work . Unfortunately, she has not done any tutorials on the software, so it is going to be hard to understand the mechanics behind some of her pieces.   Semester  B :  Week 29 Student:  Tai Ser Yeet (22064351) Programme:  BA (Hons)(SW) Digital Media Design WEEK 29 Adding Sound I wanted to get some audio going for the dance installation, so I did some digging and found a tutorial (linked below) that showed me how to actually handle sound inside TouchDesigner. Steve and I got the hardware side sorted by hooking the laptop up to the amplifier with an aux cable, and we finally got the sound playing through the speakers. Right now, it’s just playing through YouTube Music, and not really part of the system yet.  My next big task is to figure out how to route that music directly into TouchDesigner so I can control the tracks through my movement, making the sound just as reactive as the fluid visuals. ...
