WEEK 32
Showreel
Using Jitter, I have started animating the introduction. I wanted to tease the audience before revealing the actual title, so I only showed parts of it at the beginning.
Since Jitter has a plugin in Figma, I was able to create a storyboard before importing the frames into Jitter itself. It was very useful and time-efficient as I could visualise how my showreel sequence was going to be and use those frames in my actual video.
For the graphic design part of the showreel, I attempted to place an image of the artwork behind the mockup and used the overlay blending option to make it darker. However, I did not like it and will try a different approach instead.
I added the graphic design work I did back when I was working for a student ambassador organisation for my previous university in Malaysia. Similar to what I did for the RA project, I imported PNGs of a few stickers and placed them over the artwork to give it dimension.
There were many components within the ARM's Design System Project, as I wanted to include the light and dark mode as well, so I figured that splitting them up into small frames allows better visibility of the overall work.
Dean advised using PowerPoint when creating the invoice template. As I was about to change the typeface, I realised that PowerPoint did not have the ones I wanted in its selection, so I went to Google Fonts and downloaded the type family. To my dismay, the type family was not an available option. I then realised that it might be a defect with the Microsoft 360 software. Going back to square one, I turned to Adobe Illustrator instead for more creative freedom and control.

I want to keep the invoice simple but consistent with my personal brand identity, so I chose the pale yellow as the background colour and dark brown for the text.
I changed the appearance of my business card to reflect the new brand colours. I did not like the layout as it looks very old-fashioned.
The footer is not showing up, but I tried putting it in the parent slide, and it did not work. I also tried deselecting the footer on the toolbar and selecting it again, but it did not do anything. This meant I could not add my details at the very last slide, which is a bummer.
I had an idea to include a QR code that leads to my online portfolio, as I understand how tedious it is to type out the URL in the browser. I liked how this one turned out, and I believe this mirrors my personality and brand direction.
Powerpoint Template
The tutorial below was very useful in guiding me on how to create a template with a custom design.
