Takeaways from Class
Brand Values (Coca-Cola vs. Pepsi vs. IRN BRU)
Coca-Cola - prioritises togetherness & family (coke bottle mimicks a coca fruit - very clever product design)
Pepsi - sensual, youthful, fun, uses pop stars to represent that image
IRN BRU (soft drink from Scotland) - market to push the boundaries of societal standards, and the logo resembles a girder
Reverse Thinking Activity
I teamed up with Fogo, Christian and Misha. Together, we thought of a new slogan for the Pepsi Brand with respect to its brand values.
We ended up going with "Far From Innocent" and presented a couple of slides to the class on its rationale.
